This is an exciting opportunity to join our small team on our progressive, forward-thinking dairy farm located on the banks of the Huon River in the picturesque Huon Valley, a 10 min drive from Huonville and 45 mins from Hobart.

Glen Huon Dairy is part of the renowned Bruny Island Cheese Company, producing the milk that is made into artisanal speciality cheeses. We are a small, spring calving, once-a-day herd that has been in operation since 2016. Although now not certified as Organic (by choice) we continue to farm using mostly Organic/bio dynamic farming principles. Since the start, our focus has been concentrated on prioritising animal welfare, milk quality and environmental sustainability. We also offer farm tours, educational workshops, and events.

The successful candidate will need to have at least 1 year dairy farm experience, ability to maintain very high standards of dairy hygiene, record keeping, a full driver’s licence and confidence to conduct farm tours.

In return for this role, we can offer a good life work balance in a stunning part of southern Tasmania close to amenities and schools.
